The Swan Of Tuonela is based on the tone poem by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (right click the link to listen to the music) [link]
The music paints a gossamer, transcendental image of a mystical swan swimming around Tuonela According to an ancient Finnish poetry like Kalevala and some others Tuonela is a place for the dead people, kind of realm of death. Tuonela was believed to be under the earth or water or on the island. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
